As a Dutchman I'm visiting a 9 yr old girl in Stroud. And I don't know what would be fun in that area to do with her.
Your suggestions are very much appreciated.

The Corinium Museum in Cirencester is a nice small museum and as far as I can remember it is quite child-friendly.

Bourton on the Water has a great model village of Bourton, with a model of the model village in the model of the village.
Cotswold Wildlife Park is fun, as is the Cotswold Farm Park (a petting zoo, which might be closed for winter).
The Mechanical Music Museum in Northleach is eccentric and wonderful. It’s a guided tour, so will depend on the 9 yr old’s attention and interest in mechanical instruments.

If she's a Beatrix Potter fan, there's The House of the Tailor of Gloucester, about 10 miles from Stroud.

At that age I loved the model village at Bourton on the Water so seconding that suggestion.
You aren't far from Bath which has loads to do but especially the Roman Baths, which is a fantastic place to visit for adults and children.

Response by poster: Tx so much. I would never have thought of this by myself.
