I'm looking for the quote from the beginning of May It Last.

At the beginning of May It Last: Portrait of the Avett Brothers, there is a quote about the importance of being present. It is attributed to their grandfather Clegg Avett. Perhaps you or someone you know scribbled it down. I have been unable to find it by other means.
