Help regain my music and my (digital) life

Have you combined two iTunes Music Libraries, one of them with the old folder structure, into one library on an external USB? Please share your workflow and help make my digital world bloom again.

I have a very large, old iTunes Music Library with equal parts music and audiobooks already sitting on an external drive. I created a second library on my SSD to streamline use of Apple Music. It worked for a limited number of songs but now I'm longing to hear more. My issue is that I want to use the new "Media Folder" structure but the larger, USB library has the old, simpler folder structure and I can't work through how to fix it in the context of using the "Consolidate" command.

Best answer: Um, hi. I see nobody has answered your question. Feel free to PM me for help if you need more than this.

My workflow IS that I just use spotify for everything. Not helpful.

However, in your case, it sounds like the kind of thing I would brute force. There are programs that dump all contents of folders into one directory, and then I would just drag that in to the new folder. I know you'd lose album art and folders by album, but the metadata should take care of most of that I imagine.
