Camping in eastern Ontario after Thanksgiving

I want to go camping in eastern Ontario after thanksgiving. All the Provincial Parks are officially closed. 20 years ago I used to camp at that time of year all the time as parks ran on the honour system with a box to put money in. Is this still an option?

If not, where to camp? I will have a small pop up trailer with me that I am taking down to the Kingston area for winter storage.

I assume you mean Canadian Thankgiving and car camping? You can backcountry camp year round at Frontenac.

Bon Echo says it's open until Oct 15, so that's an extra week.

Response by poster: There is another Thanksgiving?? ;)

I should have specified that I need a car camping site and after the 15th.

Looks like Rondeau Provincial Park is open for camping through October 29.

This Parks Blog post has some suggestions. Your best bet may be Mew Lake Campground in Algonquin Park.

Response by poster: Okay, it looks like the Parks of the St. Lawrence has some sites open until the end of October.

Response by poster: I am going to mark this resolved as I found a place to camp: the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary in the Parks of the St. Lawrence. They even have winter camping. After thinking about it for a while, my late-fall camping years ago was always in the Bruce Peninsula, which still has fall and winter camping with a self-service honour system for checking in and paying. That is part of Parks Canada, not Ontario Parks. I still don't know if any Ontario Parks allow after season camping.
