ISO: puzzle game, PC, late 80s, early 90s, logic, computation

I remember this game had many different puzzles presented with a very relaxing, sort of new-agey, graphical aesthetic. The first set of puzzles was a square grid of mostly blue cells and I don't remember what it was about but you had to conserve some resource in solving the puzzle, roughly analogous to memory management in a computer. At the time I played it, I thought it was pretty hard. More vague, likely spurious details within.

I think the producer's logo had lightning in it. I recall this from visiting a website about the game and some other products. The name of the producer may have had "storm" in it. I keep thinking they could even have called themselves "mindstorm" but of course not.

I think this game and the website about it, was mentioned on the Blue before. I didn't find any posts that seemed reference it scanning though the tags of "games", "logic", and/or "puzzle".

This has been driving me nuts for the last couple of days. Thank you for any leads!

SpaceChem? Several of ZachTronics' games sort of fit your description.

Response by poster: I should have made this clearer: this game is at least 25 years old, and perhaps more than 30. It was for an early PCs, and I think the Amiga. The graphics of the one I played were a little too sophisticated for the Commodore 64, and perhaps there were too many puzzles, but a reduced game could have been ported to it.

I don't recall any time-bound puzzles, but I didn't play through them all.

Best answer: Not new-agey at all, but the game that immediately came to mind is Chip's Challenge. If that's not it, check out Old-Games.com... there are 550 old puzzle games you can scroll through, they each have a picture.
