Identify the British sitcom from the scene I describe.

In a hotel room, suitcases are open on the bed, mother and children unpacking carelessly. A man with a working class and very regional (perhaps Newcastle or Welsh) accent emerges mostly naked from the bathroom, announcing excitedly, and very pleased with himself, "Hey kids! Daddy's done an arse up the towel!" He holds open a large, white bath towel with a long streak of faeces running very nearly from corner to corner. The children are moved to raucous laughter while the mother disapproves ineffectually.

It could have been a film, but I'm pretty sure it was British. The content makes me think of Shameless (but I don't think it's that cos I've never watched it) or The Royle Family (but the setting doesn't fit).

Most definitely not The Royle Family.

Sounds like it could be Benidorm, judging by the tone, the holiday setting and the accent.

Chairboy: I don't remember anything that gross from Benidorm, but I gave up on it 2 (3?) seasons ago after the Garby's, Donald and the two gay guys left.

Response by poster: Thanks for the input. It's always possible I just dreamed this scene up. It is kinda my level.

There was a film a few years ago, What We Did On Our Holiday, that might fit, but that was more middle class.
