What Playstation games should I play?

I have a Playstation 1, 2, 3, and 4 and I am looking for games to play. I like third person action games.

I have four Playstations and am looking for new games to play. I am a very casual gamer so I am sure that lots of games that I'd like have slipped past me. Here's a quick breakdown of my tastes:

LOVED: Assassin's Creed seies. Tomb Rader & Rise of the Tomb Raider. Batman: Arkham series. Metal Gear Solid series. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Captain America: Super Soldier

LIKED: Lego Avengers. Lego Harry Potter. The Order: 1886. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Jak & Daxter, Teraway, Hellboy: the Science of Evil, Ape Escape

DIDN'T LIKE: Resident Evil series. Star Trek (2009), Thor, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Portal, Life is Strange

Mass Effect series is right in there. I liked 1,2 the best.

Diablo can be lots of fun.

Are you interested in 2D action/adventure games? Those are of course third person but you only mention 3D games as liked or loved.

Ratchet and Clank for sure!

Why are you even reading this right now instead of playing The Witcher 3?

Check out the Uncharted series and Last of Us!

Absolutely Witcher 3. Get the DLC. I've played it 3 times and will probably play a 4th.

Shadow of the Colossus and its predecessor Ico

Ditto uncharted, but maybe skip the first one as it's kind of rough. There is like one joke in 2 that pays off if you know which characters featured in the first one, but each one is pretty self-contained story-wise.

Saint's Row 2 and onward -- you basically get to be a Batman villain

Horizon Zero Dawn is rilly good

(there's a remastered uncharted collection going for around $20 at gamestop, as well as Uncharted 4...) The bethesda games (fallout, elder scrolls/skyrim) all have a third-person mode (you can switch back and forth between 1st person easily) and are great fun to get lost in...
Horizon zero dawn is really good, but if you wait it should come down in price soonish
The last of us has the gameplay style you seem to like, but it's damn terrifying (zombies)
Also scary, but well worth it...all the Dead Space games (ps3, gory space zombies)
Have you played any of the Bioshock games? (also recently remastered)

You might want to play EDF 4.1, the game where you're the hero in a kaiju movie saving the world by dancing atop a building-sized mech built to punch godzilla while one of your 3 online mates calls an orbital laser strike on a swarm of acid-spitting giant ants, another is busy trying to drive a motorbike with sidecar that only goes backwards to rescue the remaining one who is lying unconscious after detonating a hand grenade with a 15m blast radius and 5m throwing range.
Meanwhile your NPC squad sing motivational songs to the tune of the battle hymn of the republic amidst chatting about how much they want steak.

Single player and 2 player split-screen coop are possible if you don't have PS+.

The first three Uncharted games can be had on a single PS4 disk for cheap, and they're not bad.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is fantastic.

I ragequit Witcher 3 after hitting a weird difficulty spike in combat about six hours in. Died about 40 times in the same place on the "easy" difficulty and I was done. (By comparison, I thought Dark Souls was about right.) Probably something simple I wasn't getting...

Last Guardian is spectacular and a must play, despite its real flaws. Play it before Ico or Shadow of [the] Colossus. (Wait for the upcoming PS4 HD remake of the latter.)

I think you might enjoy the God of War series, which would get you hyped for the new game coming out next year.

Given your preferences, you'd probably like the Uncharted series a lot! And if you're interested in fairly new games, Horizon Zero Dawn for PS4 is uh-MAY-zing. :)

It's been said a few times now, but I want to make clear how amazing the mechanics and play are in Horizon Zero Dawn. The story is also excellent, some of it is standard trope stuff, but the concept is very new... It is lots of fun to explore.

SSX 3. Pick it up for PS2 for $5. Never look back.

It's not quite the sort of game you linked up there, but it IS 3rd person and IS action, so give it a look. :)

Shadow of Mordor is a lot of fun, and you can probably get it cheap. Saints Row 4 is probably the most fun I've ever had playing a video game.

I just finished Prey and really loved it - it's a FPS, at least in its interface, so I'm not sure if that's for you or not.

Katamari Damaci is a great series of games for casual gaming. I should dig the PS 2 out soon.

The Division on PS4 and Red Dead Redemption on PS3 are the best third-person action games I've played, ever.

On the PS1 end of the spectrum: the Spyro The Dragon games are some of the best 3D platformers on any platform, any generation, and they hold up remarkably well (better, I think, than Ape Escape, which you mentioned.) . They're very much worth revisiting. On PS2, katamari damarcy and Ico bear revisiting (Shadow Of The Colossus was mentioned, but as suggested I'd wait for the upcoming remaster and play it on the PS4.)
