I changed something at domain host now I can't read email through Gmail

I have 2 domains, let's say they are covfefe.com & covpepe.com. I have 1 email address cda@covpepe.com which I read through Gmail business app. Covfefe is my primary domain at the host but I want to get rid of it so I changed my primary to covpepe.com & now I can't read my email through Gmail anymore. What happened?

I can read my mail at my hosts's website but when I open Gmail I have no incoming mail since I changed my primary domain at the host.

BTW, I set this up years ago and pay 5 dollars a month because at the time I don't think I could just forward my email to a gmail account but now I see I can but then it would not have my 10 years of old emails that I look up constantly (We use this for a business).

So my question is how can I see my old and new emails at Gmail (have to use Gmail because my business partner likes that interface best due to age/disability issues)?

I have called my host once and they didn't know what was wrong. Have not called Gmail - I don't know if they have a customer service #.

Response by poster: ok I had to change the MX (Mail Exchanger) at my host.

I guess the moral of the story is that if you have Gmail business app - 5$/month you can call them.

(sorry I bothered people here I thought it was an easy question I just wasn't getting)
