Trying to find comedy video about a human filmmaker on an alien world

I'm trying to find this weird comedy short online about a guy who goes to another planet as (I think) part of an alien exchange program, becomes an alien's roommate, and soon becomes the alien planet's most famous director/filmmaker ever. As much of the plot as I can remember below...
The human guy and his lazy alien roomate just sit on the couch all day and watch alien movies on TV all day — all of which are three or four seconds long, just a few seconds of colors and shapes. No plot or story. To the aliens, it's the only kind of entertainment they know, and it's complex and interesting.
The human quickly figures out the simple formula for making blockbuster films, and becomes the planet's most famous director, winning every award making three second movies. He quickly becoming incredibly wealthy and famous and falls into hard alien drugs and treats his former alien roommate terribly.
He eventually gives up drugs, cleans up, and apologizes to his friend. He decides it's time to go home, but he missed the orbital window because he was super high on drugs, and everyone he knows on Earth is now dead.
I have no idea how to find this short again. I can't remember the name, who made it, or where I saw it. Any help?
