I am researching the development of monopolies/conglomerates at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries, such as Standard Oil, I.G. Farben, etc.?

I assume you've already read The Robber Barons as part of your research?

A bunch of conglomerates were put together by J. P. Morgan, including the already-mentioned U.S. Steel, so be sure to look into his history.

Some of the more prominent J. P. Morgan conglomerates: General Electric, US Steel, International Harvester, and AT&T.
