The text on all my Widgets (OS X) has become outlined. I've cleared prefs, restarted, removed widgets, what else is there to do?

Best answer: Have you cleared your cache files? (Especially those related to typefaces.)

Cleaning cache files and rebooting can work wonders for many odd problems.

Have you checked in Universal Access. It seems like if you had some kind of use the keyboard instead of the mouse option on, then it might highlite active areas of the screen.

Have you tried creating a new user account to see if it happens there as well?

Response by poster: Rothko is the winner. I had forgotten about the cache and now feel incredibly dopey.
