Where can I find these discontinued glasses frames?

A while back I bought a pair of glasses with these frames from Zenni Optical. They've since discontinued those glasses; where can I get a similar pair?

I originally bought them with photochromic lenses, which I now realize I don't like so much. I may send my current pair to an online shop that can just create and put in new lenses, but I'd rather get a new pair as close to these as possible. Does anybody else sell this style?

The black and white coloring (as opposed to more colorful) is fairly important to me, as is the sort of ladder effect on the arms.

You say you already own the frames. Does Zenni not fit new lenses to frames customers have already purchased?

I recently broke my favorite frame from Zenni, but the lenses were fine, so I just ordered another pair with the cheap/free lenses and then popped my expensive anti-reflective photochromics into the new frame when it arrived. Depending on if that's easy to do with your current frame and the cost of getting lenses elsewhere, it may be worth just eating the $19 cost of the frames in the color you don't want with the lenses you do, and then performing a transplant.

$19 glasses are made to be disposable, not upgradable/modifiable.

These zenni ones have kind of a similar style idea (minus that awesome white stripe): 1, 2

39 dollar glasses has a few also: 1, 2, 3 (that last one is probably too colorful)

Coastal: 1, 2

That second Coastal one is made by Rough Justice and comes in other colors (but still no black and white)

This isn't a Zenni-specific response, but in July 2015 I broke the only pair of glasses I can ever say I've really enjoyed. My eye doc said the manufacturer discontinued the style. Gasp. I held the broken pair together with solder for almost a year before I just emailed the manufacturer directly. They had indeed discontinued the frames, but they had stock remaining of several colors. So I bought two of the frames from them for almost nothing!

Response by poster: jordemort - I don't know which glasses I'd need to buy to get lenses that would fit my nice frames exactly; I kind of assumed that lenses were shaped specifically for each specific frame. Am I wrong? Could I just buy any glasses where the lens is marketed as rectangular, 53mm wide, and 27mm high, and expect the lenses to fit any glasses frames with those measurements? Also, the frames are not available in any color from Zenni.

As far as I can tell, Zenni doesn't fit new lenses to old frames; but I may use a different shop that does so if necessary.

sparkle motion - your Rough Justice suggestion led me to this pair, which is close, though the colors are not quite what I want.

This is a spendy option, but around these parts, The Spectacle Shoppe is known for having a pretty mind-blowing selection, including lots of vintage and "off-beat" choices.

If I were stuck on a particularly unique frame like this, I'd probably shoot them an email with the picture of what I'm looking for and ask them what they had that was close. Given my experience with them, they'd probably pull a dozen frames and have me come in to try them all (and, at some point get me to try something that I wouldn't ever have chosen for myself but is amazingly perfect*).

Based on your profile, I bet your local area has lots of versions of that particular type of glasses store.

*except, of course, for the price, which I always end up paying because they are really great frames.

mistersix: Sorry, I thought Zenni was still selling the silver version of your frames. I'd give them a call/email and explain the situation, maybe they can set up an order for lenses in the size you need.

They say that 90% of frames nowadays are made by a couple of companies in China. Check out the online discount places - I recommend glassesshop.com. Got a pair there that everyone says looks good on my face, and got them tricked out with high-index lenses, anti-reflective coating, etc.
