What's this song? 80s pop-ish sounding, female vocalist

A tune popped into my head and it's driving me nuts. I'm pretty sure this is a relatively accurate hum. If I remember correctly, it was a female vocalist and sounded vaguely like 80s pop. Kind of Cyndi Lauper-ish? Help! SOS!

I think the "da da da" ennunciation is misleading you all into Tom's Diner. The tune she hums in this recording is nothing like that.
