Who are the women on this billboard?

I recognize Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and Barack Obama, but I'm embarrassed that I don't recognize the women. I think the woman on the left might be Maya Angelou, but I'm not sure.

The sign's on 7th Street in Oakland, CA near the West Oakland BART Station.

Defintely Maya Angelou. (I'm not sure about the other.)

Could the other one be Shirley Chisholm maybe?

Yes, the second woman is former Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm.

Esther Mabry and Maya Angelou:
A gateway employing pixelated images of prominent African American heroes relates West Oakland’s history as a railroad development to its new life as a public transit hub. The design features two local heroes: Esther Mabry, the owner of a historically significant jazz and blues club, and Maya Angelou, who references the neighborhood in her seminal work, 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,' and three African American leaders—Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X and Barack Obama."
