Coverting text message file

I want to convert a group text message to an easily readable format on my desktop. My phone is a samsung on verizon and I use windows.

I have a group text conversation (MMS) that I want to be able to email in a legible format. Messages are randomly left out with my SMS Backup + and backup to gamil apps. I told my phone to save the messages and they saved as a .vzm file. I tried a few random internet programs I found on google, and they told me they couldn't open the files or they were some java programs I couldn't get to run properly. I can open the .vzm file in notebook but it's not in a legible format.

Please explain how I can convert these files to something like a pdf in a legible format like I'm 5. Well, 10 would be okay too.

I have an Android phone running 5.1.1. Here is how I would do it. I have Pushbullet installed in my pc browser, Chrome. I also have Pushbullet installed on my phone. I logged into both installs. On my pc, I set it to get messages from the phone. I can actually text and read messages from my PC. So, in Chrome, I would click on the Pushbullet icon and then click on the sms tab, then click on the conversation you want to save. I would then, using my mouse, highlight the entire conversation or the parts you want to email and copy the highlighted area. Then paste it into an email or into Word. Viola.

It may be a bit more manual, but it gets the job done without some program saving the messages in a proprietary format.

I am not an expert. This is just a method I used. I am sure there are simpler or more efficient ways to do this.
