Who is on the cover of Will the Circle Be Unbroken?

For some reason this is really hard to google. Who is on the cover of Will the Circle Be Unbroken, by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band et al.? (The first one, not either of the sequel records.) Is it Stonewall Jackson? Somebody else? A generic Civil War type dude? If so, what is that uniform? Please rest assured that I already feel bad for not automatically knowing this.

I think it's Fitz John Porter, not David Dixon.
