Good comparison sites like The Sweethome/Wirecutter?

I was just wondering if anyone knew of other good comparison sites (the best, runner-up, budget choice, etc) for items in the vein of The Sweethome (house stuff), The Wirecutter (gadget & gizmos), The Nightlight (baby stuff), Ken Rockwell (camera stuff), etc? I'm specifically looking for a tool-centric site, but I'm curious what else is out there as well.

I find The Wirecutter and The Sweethome usually reference their sources when they review something. Maybe look at the tool items on those sites and see what they reference?

Best answer: Lucie's List is my go-to for baby and toddler stuff. (I haven't heard about The Nightlight; thanks!)

For tools, I'm a pretty light home repair person, but I tend to go to Popular Mechanics-related sites and start there. They don't generally have a lot of direct reviews like you're thinking of; they tend to have stuff like 10 Tools You Didn't Know You Needed. Still, it's a good jumping off point that I trust. Here's their Best Power Tools 2015 list.

Outdoor Gear Lab is the best reviewer of outdoor gear & clothes, bar none. I always check out their reviews first, and appreciate how they explain the pluses and minuses of different options.

Baby Gear Lab is a sister site - I think it's run by different folks, but they share a similar outlook and methodology in considering gear reviews.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I still like Consumer Reports. I have more faith in their editorial independence than e.g. Wirecutter and Sweethome (which I like a lot too!).

The Sweet Setup is a Wirecutter/Sweethome style site for Mac and iOS apps.

Cook's Illustrated is not a free site, but its kitchen equipment/vessels/appliances reviews have never served me wrong.
