Looking for a London vegetarian restaurant I once visited

I'm trying to relocate a vegetarian restaurant I used to eat at in London, about 7 years ago. It's located in a trendy shopping district, which was unusual since the food and decor was very casual. The food style is homecooked, specials only, a few each day. You order in the front then take your tray to a seat. Seating had an unusual feature, a small nook in the back for private dining (maybe in an area with lowered ceiling.) Does this restaurant still exist?

Best answer: This sounds very much like Food for Thought at Neal's Yard, around Covent Garden. I used to eat there all the time, and googling to give you a link has digged up that they're closing!

The ordering in the front and taking a tray makes me think of Govindas. It's in Soho but a shopping-heavy bit.

Agree with kandinski, that sounds like the now sadly shuttered Food For Thought.

Response by poster: Thanks for the quick answer but sad to hear it has closed. Hoping I can find something similar on my next trip to London.

Glad you got your answer, and sorry Food for Thought is closing. But on the bright side - if you haven't been to Govindas - I highly recommend it.
