Recommend a non-chafing collar for 75lb. dog?

Friend's dog wears a Spindrift safety collar and the neoprene lining protects fur, but the buckle chafes.
White pit bull mix about 2 years old has very short hair & it goes bald (I'm not a dog person, so don't know what you'd call that) under the fastex-style nylon buckle. Friend tried to get an Etsy seller to make something custom, but there were communications difficulties. Any ideas about a collar made for dogs with sensitive skin that don't have gaps? Spindrift's Cozy Collar has an even softer lining, but still has a gap & the neoprene is working, so no need to go to even softer fleece. Prefer to avoid leather 'cause active dog gets wet.
She uses a harness for a leash, so the collar is just for 24/7 tag wearing in case of escape.
A previous question has a great suggestion I've sent her, but we're open to more! The Lupine & Ruffler from that thread don't look like they'd work.

Best answer: I recommended Lupine Pet collars on that last question - their collars do fine on my short-furred pup.
If his existing collar was left a little looser it might stop chafing.
Other solutions include tacking a fleece lining across the back of the buckle (I did this for a harness that chafed before I switched harnesses) or even taking a baby/toddler sock and cutting the toe off and sliding that over the buckle area.
Cute pup! Chafing is always sucky to deal with, so I hope she's able to get it straightened out soon!

Best answer: I have been really happy with the Martingale style collar I got from this Etsy store for my dog a few years back. Her fur doesn't rub or get stuck in her collar like it once did in her more traditional styled one. The collars from this store are pretty spiffy looking, too.
