Gabrielle Hamilton's apron

Is there a name for the style of apron that Gabrielle Hamilton can be seen wearing in Season 4 of Mind of a Chef? Where can I find/buy one, or a pattern to sew one?

Additional photos here, here, and here.

Try searching pinafore apron. There are many variations of this style. Here's a similar one on Etsy.

This is very close... I'm pretty sure it's a custom thing, and that Etsy one is the only one I could find after spending a pleasant hour browsing for aprons. This interview has her saying it isn't from a store.

Just fyi, if you haven't picked up her cookbook Prune, do so. Fantastic.

Vintage apron patterns, downton abbey apron patterns, simple pinafore- these search terms will help. I wanted one like this to and created my own pattern, which I am mostly happy with, and made one out of a bedsheet. Etsy is full of semi pro sewers.

(Gabrielle Hamilton's Blood, Bones, and Butter is in the top three memoirs I have ever read. It is the reason I address my children en masse as "my sweet butter". So worth the read.)
