Recommendations for WordPress maintenance services for nonprofits

I help a nonprofit manage their WordPress.org site. I am looking for recommendations for services that backup, update, and secure WordPress sites.

Has anyone used a WordPress maintenance service they'd recommend? We'd like a service that (in order of priority):

1. Backs up the site and its content
2. Updates the WordPress installation and plugins in a way that doesn't break the site
3. Provides security monitoring and recommendations

If the service offers discounts to nonprofits, that would be a plus. Under $500/year would be ideal.

Thank you very much.

I manage a Wordpress site for a nonprofit. We use the BackWPUp plugin for weekly backups, but I'd love to hear what you find for the other two services.

I've had a lot of success with WPEngine. Their hosting is geared towards performance, but they also do automatic daily backups that you can actually restore (most only have backups that will be restored if the server fails but not if you just fucked up) and they have single click backup and restore points as well. They also immediately role out security releases and automatically role out point releases with reasonable warning (2-4 weeks, with the ability to postpone up to 60 days, or so). They also have security monitoring and enhanced security as part of their default setup.
