URLs still appearing in the Chrome address bar after clearing history?

I've cleared my history, cookies, cache, etc. restarted Chrome but my history is still showing up when I type in the address bar. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

Are you signed into Chrome? (In settings, it's the top section). That saves history and stuff outside of what "clear history" will clear.

You can also just try clearing your synced data by following the instructions here.

Autocomplete is separate from browsing history. You need to clear the autocomplete data.

Best answer: Maybe you accidentally added a bookmark? Autocomplete suggests the URLs you have bookmarked.

Chrome predicts URLs as well as giving historic URLs. You can turn them off.

You can highlight it and press SHIFT+DELETE.
