Trying to remember two separate Alaska kids' books I used to read all the time that have somehow gotten lost over the years.
A friend asks: I'm trying to remember two separate Alaska kids' books I used to read all the time that have somehow gotten lost over the years. One was about a brother and sister who were left by their dad in a remote cabin by a fishing camp. The second is actually a trilogy, about three siblings and their dad and some weird science-y stuff. The book covers are great watercolor-type art.
That's all the detail I've got. I've given my friend the link to monitor this thread. Thanks for your help.

Best answer: The trilogy sounds like it could be one I remember, too - The Alaska Highway Adventure Series, by David Skidd.
I haven't read them in years, but I remember the kids looking up some information using some new technology called the "Information Superhighway".
