Purchasing a bit of the Newman cool

[MensJewelryFilter] Looking for help with searching for a particular kind of men's ID bracelet as worn by Paul Newman in this pic.

It won't make me as cool as he is in this picture, obviously, but I need some help searching for the ID bracelet he is wearing here. I'm assuming that it's silver, but it doesn't seem as "shiny" as stuff I've looked at on Amazon and using Google. Looking for a little guidance as to what search terms I should be using..."burnished?" "hammered?"

Or is it just something that will come along with age?

Best answer: Brushed.

You might also look for stainless steel.

Best answer: I wouldn't assume that it's silver.. It's probably gold. could be white gold, but doesn't actually look white to me in that picture. I think it looks like a pale gold, probably 10k yellow. Could be stainless steel.. he's wearing it in a lot of pictures, I would be surprised if it's silver, a silver curb bracelet will wear quite quickly.

It's probably just worn a bit which takes off the high polish and leaves a burnished finish. but I don't think searching for "burnished" will get you much.

it looks like a "flat curb" style of chain, look at just "curb" and "cuban" and if you want a softer finish, use "satin" "silk" "brushed" "sandblast"

I would go stainless if your price point is around $100, over sterling. you'll get more wear out of it with less repairs needed. Stainless is also harder to polish than silver so you might get the look you're into more easily. Titanium might be an option but it doesn't have that nice weighty feel that more precious metals and steel have.

This looks pretty nice, and not too shiny

This doesn't have the ID panel and is a little bit of a weird chain, but nice.

Best answer: You coudl look at vintage curb chain bracelets like this or look at oxidized silver.
