Digital radio losing its mind.

My sony digital radio is gradually losing its mind. When I try to tune or change the time the numbers or frequency don't run in order.

Thinking that it was dust I dismantled and cleaned with compressed air. Made no difference. Any ideas?

I had a nightmare last night where I was in an elevator that did this (the floor indicator jumped around randomly). Based on that, I say, get out now, while you can.

More relevant to your problem (I hope): is it possible that the some/one of the bars on the display are burned out. I'm imaging a display like a clock-radio with the three vertical lines and two lines on each side (so they form eights when all are lit up). If one or more of these burnt out somehow they would make different numbers than the ones you were expecting.
