Replacement part for Boker Tree Brand pocket knife

I am not a knife/hunting/fishing/sportman person at all. I have my grandfather's pocket knife, a Boker Tree Brand Solingen #7588 and the little tree brand circular medallion that is glued into a depression in the handle is missing. Any ideas on where I can get a replacement? I have looked on ebay and at the manufacturer's website and all I can find are the complete knives for sale. Thank you!

Best answer: It's unlikely that they will have those listed for sale separately anywhere, but if you can contact their customer service and explain the situation (especially with the emphasis on that this is your grandfather's knife and has sentimental value), they may be willing to repair it themselves, including that missing part.

Otherwise your best bet might be to find another Boker knife and pry the medallion off of it.

Best answer: Oh, two clarifications: I say this because 1) many knifemakers are good about repairing/maintaining their old products, even ones that are generations old, even big brands like Boker, and 2) if they just sold the medallions, people would buy them and put them on non-Boker-made knives for resale.
