Can you help me send mail?

I can't send mail on my mac mail.

This has happened before. I go to send an e-mail, the time clock thing spins and then I get a message that says: "Cannot send message using the server ____."

I've tried all four outgoing servers that are available to me:
smtp.mac.com
smtp.mac.com:(my screenname)
smtp.rcn.com
smtp.rcn.com:(my screenname)

Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks.

Best answer: Your ISP has probably blocked port 25, which is the default port. Go into preferences and then accounts. Go to the account in question and click the advanced setting button for outgoing mail. If it's set to 25, it's probably blocked. Contact your ISP and ask them. Or, just try 587 and see if it works. That's what I use.
