American Beauty stereo channels.

I've discovered that my stereo receiver and CD player headphone jacks reverse the right and left channels. When I listen to the Grateful Dead track "Box of Rain" through the headphone jack of my old Sony CD player, the lead vocals (Phil Lesh - he sings the very first line) are slightly to the right in the soundstage, while listening through the headphone jack of my receiver, it's reversed (slightly left). Anyone know which is actually correct?
Response by poster: Yeah, I'm an idiot. Interconnects were reversed.

Box of Rain is a beautiful song even with the tracks reversed. #LetPhilSing

This wouldn't be hard to test, just get audacity, make a wav file with a 440hz tone in the left channel for 10 seconds then the right for 10 seconds, and burn it to a cd with something like cdburnerxp(or itunes).
Then you'll know for sure.
