Using an Android tv box - how many gb are used

I am considering the purchase of an android tv box but I have no idea how many gb of my 100 gb/month allotment would be used up on my internet service plan (using DSL modem). If for example, I was watching tv up to 3 hours daily would this exceed the 100 gb monthly limit? Second question - is there anyone using the magic box from redrhino entertainment - is it worth the premium price of a regular quad core box?

100gb is quite a lot - generally a hd film should be around 2GB and a normal sd 30 min tv show about 350mb - so you should be fine with that allowance unless you are watching 3 hours every single day or have other big bandwidth needs.

If the box is pulling down 1080p content you could burn through your allotment before the month is over. I watch about 3 hours on average a day and will get an email some months that I'm getting close to my limit (350GB). It will depend on what I'm watching if it is newer 1080p content on Netflix or Hulu or older SD content. Neither of my streaming devices allow for me to force a lower stream so I'm at the mercy of the content provider. When I acquire content on my own to play through the devices I'll pick the SD version if possible. I don't need a 1080p version of Squidbillies

We only watch tv via internet, a few Hours most evenings and our average Internet use is 180gb a month. Don't do much else that is very data-heavy.
