One night each in Big Sky, MT and Palm Springs, CA. What to do?

I'm 34 and travelling alone on business, will have a car. I like sushi, Indian food, great coffeehouses and bars with live music. Any suggestions? At the least - where are the best spots for dinner?

In Big Sky, hit up Dante's Inferno at the moutain village for dinner/drinks. It's not great, but Big Sky isn't known for its dining/nightlife. For live music, you'll prolly have to take the 40 minute drive down the moutain to Bozeman. Another option is to take a scenic drive through Yellowstone National Park, about an hour from Big Sky.

Palm Springs is pretty happening- walk the main drag (there's two of them acutally, one goes each way) and you'll find lots of restaurants, bars and clubs. And lots and lots of stag and hen parties typically. If you're there all day too, take the tram up the mountain- it's awesome.

At Big Sky, other than the places up at the mountain lodge, you might try the bars at Bucks T-4 and the Half Moon Saloon, both of which can have live music, be pretty fun, or be pretty quiet on any given night. If you would like a pretty fancy meal, you might try dining at the Lone Mountain Ranch. In the winter season, they often have live music (usually Bruce Anfinson) at their bar. Bozeman will have any number of college bars, coffee houses, and good restaurants.

Bucks T-4 has good food. At least, they did, and my uncle (who still lives near there) hasn't said anything about it dropping in quality. Bar at one end, restaurant at the other.
