Purse shopping in Italy

Where and what shops should I look at for purses in Venice/Milan?
I am in Venice, Italy at Rialto tomorrow and have one day to shop for a good leather purse/handbag for $250 budgeted purse. In Milan I have around 5 hours to search for the same ( day after tomorrow).
Questions-
Any suggestions as to where in Rialto strip can I find the handbag? There were so many streets that it is getting a bit crazy.
Same for Milan ( I can't do outlet malls due to the short time)
Thank you

In Venice, there's a place called Fanny, for both gloves and purses: http://www.visit-venice-italy.com/shopping-gloves-venice-italy.htm
There's also tons and tons of cheap Chinese made handbags for sale in stacked up heaps. Italy allows things to be labelled 'Made in Italy" even if the only thing that's done in the country is sewing on the "Made in Italy" label.
Also, they allow foreign firms to ship over workers and keep them in locked factories, only letting them out to go home.

Response by poster: Thanks. Yes, I saw the Chinese made bags and it is very obvious that the quality is horrible when you look at the stitches and other details. Surprised that Italy allows this.
