Sci-Fi short story search

I read a creepy utopia/dystopia sci-fi short story ~5 years ago, believe it was in an anthology and haven't been able to find it since...
Premise is a man journeys to a utopia of sorts, but once a month (?) the community or maybe island turns into a war filled hell, all the citizens are murdered and have to endure this, and are then resurrected for the next month or so - he is involved with a woman who dies each time it happens, ultimately all the people there had decided to live with the trade off, but i think the narrator chose otherwise in the end. Any help finding the story would be appreciated!

Best answer: If it is "Of a Sweet Slow Dance," I read that story in Brave New Worlds, if you're looking for the anthology you originally read the story in.
