Can I make phone calls from my android phone using a google voice app?

I used to use talkatone to make calls from any android device for free, through google voice. Google voice shut down support for that through talkatone back in may 2014. Now I found a similar App but it makes you watch advertisements to get tokens to make "free" calls. Does anyone know an app that actually works, for free, on android?
Thanks.
Late answer, but I'll put it in anyway, in case people find this page in future: Google seems to have just released this feature in Hangouts on Android.
It seems to work fine (for outgoing calls. If you have your GV number forwarded to your cellphone, incoming won't work because it will try to ring both, but if you don't, it should work for incoming as well).

Not so much on the "working fine" in further use. Maybe it will get better. Or, just ignore previous comment.
