my quest for perfect stationery

beautiful color embossed blank cards - do they exist somewhere? I got some lovely gold-yellow (pumpkin? goldenrod?) blank cards, with embossed borders, at Staples a year or two ago, and they looked great with a simple one-color picture printed on them, but now I can't find anything like them.
I spent about 20 minutes looking through various stationery companies' web sites (returned from Google with the best search strings I could think of), but everything is either white, cream, or already has a design on it. Often, these are intended to have your name engraved on them and are quite expensive, too.
I plan to use these mainly as thank-you notes, but really liked the flexibility of the completely blank cards. And the embossed border and matching envelopes added a lot.
The ones I used previously came in a box of maybe 10-15. Staples doesn't seem to have them anymore (and yes, I checked their web site). Any suggestions?

I second Crane for what you are looking for. I go to them for everything, and they always have tons of seasonal pallets and items, so you would probably get lucky with a rich autumnal color right now...

I use American Stationery for most of my stuff; their paper stock is slightly less fancy than Crane but they have a nice selection at a good value. Neiman Marcus has some very cute stuff, lots of variety; their price points are closer to Crane.

I highly recommend the Paper Source. If you live near one of their stores you'll have more options, but they sell a decent amount of stationary on their site, as well.

Response by poster: OK, I wasn't clear, mea culpa -- then I went away and was too busy to check this before it passed from the front page. I meant to say that I'm looking for solid-color, decoration-free folding cards in interesting colors, with embossed borders. I suppose I'll post another question later. My apologies.
Yes, I had seen Crane stationery too, but it's just not my style, though I do like the cat design. I want to do my own design :)
