timber koi pond: do I need to use any adhesives?

Today I cut the timbers for a koi pond, made of 3 stacked courses of 6x6 pressure treated timbers above ground. It's going to be fastened together with 8" timberlok screws and lined with EPDM. One question: should I use any products (like titebond or construction adhesive) between courses and at butts? If so, what you recommend?

Best answer: No. The screws should hold it, and because wood moves, it's not a bad idea to leave off the glue so that each board can do just that.

Response by poster: Makes good sense to me - thanks! A 50 pack of timberloks, an impact driver, and bob's your uncle.
