How to organize/rank photos quickly

Photo Ranking Software: know of any 'face off' photo ranking software sort of like JibJab's: Face Off? It would be FYW the digital photo albums on my laptop - ie not networked.

Does anyone know of personal photo organizing software that has a function which allows you to compile rankings of the photos in your own library through a randomized 'single' elimination process, ala the jibjab face off link above? (If this doesn't exist I reserve all rights for the creative commons if legally possible. Otherwise I reserve them for myself as a preliminary to cc licensing.)

Response by poster: If my question isn't suff. clear I am visualizing an app where I, or my wife can sit down at the computer and through random selection a photo would appear on the left and right. We would click on the one we though was better. After a few cycles rankings would compile organically, into some sort of itunes like star rating system.

I think this would be vastly easier than spending hours moving from here to there and shuffling photos based on circumstance or whim. I could also then wesliy print, tag, and share the photos that meant the most to me. Thanks!

I don't have an answer, but I see what you're talking about and would like to use it, too. Sounds like a great idea--Face Off is a lot of fun.

No answer, but it reminds me off when you're getting your glasses prescription and you're wearing that big butterfly thing with the revolving wheels. "Left eye better or worse?"

I'd love something like this for OSX. Right now I do it with tangible photos and a living room floor, or by dragging them around in iPhoto. "...do I like this one better than that one? okay, I do, I'll put it to the left of that one..."

I've had this very same thing on my potential projects list for years. I wish I could tell you that I was going to start working on it any time soon.
