Trying to find metal waste pick up guy in Millbrae CA

My friend said that there are people who would pick up metal waste for free. I have metal stuff to donate and want to call the right person for pick up. I live in Millbrae CA. Anybody know the phone number to call?

Googling 'scrap metal pickup millbrae' seemed to find me a bunch of hits like this one. A cursory glance says that a lot of these pickup places are willing to pay you for the metal, so I'm guessing that they'll be pretty happy to not have to!

Anywhere in SF or the East Bay, if you put it on your curb, a scrapper will randomly drive by within about half an hour and grab it. You can reduce that time to 5 minutes if you post a craigslist free "curb alert." I suspect the same is true in Millbrae.

Craigslist is the way to go here. Or just put it outside with a "free scrap" sign. It'll disappear.

Response by poster: Great, thanks for all who replied. Curb alert on Craigslist is the way to go.

Scrap metal guys make the world a better place. Just ask my mom. :) She got the guy's name who regularly came by the small industrial complex, and he has carried/carted away no end of metal junk. You would be suprised what they will take.
