Are there It's Its in the San Francisco Airport?

Can I find an It's It ice cream sandwich in the San Francisco airport?

I was a huge It's It fan as a kid living in LA, but we moved to the Midwest when I was 10, and I haven't had one since. I have a connecting flight through SFO this weekend with a couple hours layover and wondered if there are any little shops in the airport that might carry them (I tried googling this, but It's It HQ is actually located near the airport, so those were all the results I got!).

This is just a post on a food blog, and is a year old, but suggests that it is possible!

Have you tried calling the NorCal distributors? They also list an e-mail address; they say it's only for if you're not on the West Coast, but given the specificity of your question, it might be worth e-mailing them anyways.

Hey if you really have a craving, you can order it online for delivery.

I have no idea if you can get one inside the airport itself, but a couple hours might be long enough for you to Bart to San Bruno, walk 10 minutes to Lucky's, buy one and get back. Alternatively, for the true SF experience, you could put this on taskrabbit.

At the least, as of last September, you can get one in the lobby of the Aloft Hotel at SFO.

"Food service is “grab and go” with a wide variety of snacks, such as .... It’s It bars are available for sale. " (source)

I would say that it's-its are also almost certainly for sale somewhere inside of Terminal Two, since it was recently redone and has tons of great local food (cowgirl creamery Mt Tam cheese and semifreddies bread...nom nom...)

If you're going to leave the airport, Its-It HQ is literally 3 miles from the airport (and one mile past the aloft). And the sell them at the office

No factory tours unfortunately. But a very cheap cab ride there and back and probably can be done in 30 minutes or less.
