Reliable auto mechanic in Columbia, SC?

I have a relative who attends USC and lives around the St. Andrews area in Columbia, SC. He has a Toyota that's having some issues. Are there any auto repair places either near the university or around St. Andrews that you could recommend?

Is he a AAA member? They can put him in touch with places that won't scam him.

It's been a while, but I had good experiences with taking my Honda to Mooneyhans over in West Columbia a few years back. It's kind of on the other side of Cola from St. Andrews, but it's only 2-3 miles from USC.
