Help me find a smallish plain white china butter dish!

I'm trying to replace a broken plain white china butter dish. I thought I'd have many to chose from, and I do, but they're all large and rounded rather than delicate and angular like the original. This would be a reasonable approximation if it weren't so big; the original must be about 7"x3". It shouldn't have any ornamentation, but I'd accept a handle. Can you help?

I don't know how big this one is but you can probably email and ask.

This one is melamine, not china, but otherwise fits your angular and size restrictions.

This one has a seller that doesn't seem to understand the value of good photos but is much more angular. Not sure about the size and is probably plastic.

This one isn't fired but seems to fit all the other specifications.

Again, not sure on the size of this one but you can ask.

You could also search for the exact original on Replacemenrts, Ltd.

I am pretty sure I've seen very similar butter dishes at Sur la Table. If you have any of those nearby you might check them out.

Best answer: The Martha Stewart collection one seems nice (has a handle).

This one seems similar, though the size is not listed.

Here's a different kind.

This is the kind of thing I go to my local Ace Hardware store for. If your profile is current, you're in Austin, and there are a few Aces around there. Check them out.

Bed Bath & Beyond has a couple, both with and without handles. I didn't see any dimensions, however.

Also look for restaurant supply stores near you, many sell to the public (ie you don’t need a business license to shop there). They likely have several lines of inexpensive, but quality white tableware.

This one at Crate and Barrel is larger than your old one, but it's very similar to the one you linked to.

Response by poster: The Martha Stewart one that gudrun found is bigger than the old one, but it's the smallest one I've seen and it's appropriately white and angular. Purchased! Thanks to everyone who looked.
