Looking for globetrotting (non-news) podcasts

I'd like to expand my podcast listening horizons a bit--as in geographically and culturally. Are there any podcasts that regularly go globetrotting for their non-news stories? Makes regular attempts to be less WEIRD? Radio Netherlands Worldwide for example had the environmentally themed Earth Beat and a TALish The State We're In. They were both amazing, but canceled due to budget cuts. I'm also on a crime and mysteries kick, so something like Interpol's greatest hits podcast (they don't AFAIK) would be awesome.

Best answer: I'm not sure what you mean by weird, but From Our Own Correspondent is globetrotting, and great.

This is a surprisingly hard question. Maybe you could listen to old episodes of Dispatches, which was my favorite until it also was canceled. Apparently reporting from all around the world is expensive. Spycast often interviews people who worked in intelligence overseas. I also enjoy From Our Own Correspondent.

You might want to try the State of Reunion Podcast even though it only deals with the United States.
