I've been looking for the Fujifilm x100s camera for over a month and it's just not out there. I'm traveling at the beginning of September and really want to get this camera before then. Is there any possibility of that or am I being silly? Does anyone know any good places to look? Does anyone know when the shortage will be over? I'm in the Chicagoland, USA area if that helps. Thanks.

A quick search on eBay turns up a lot of results from top sellers.

There seem to be a few Amazon Marketplace sellers with "almost new" cameras in stock.

I had the same problem as you and ended up buying mine on eBay from a guy in Japan, albeit for 100$ over retail. There's no regional locking or anything on the camera, and the first screen when the thing turns on is to select language, so you'll be fine getting one from someone overseas.

In the meantime, I would order from Amazon but keep looking. You can always cancel if you find it somewhere else first, but at least you would be in the queue.

I ordered one from Adorama at the end of April and got it at the beginning of June, fwiw.
