Preppy dude gets the cold shoulder in mid-2000s pop song?

I've been searching for a pop song by a young female vocalist, US, ca 2005? Most of the music video was of her on the school bus, with the story being that her boyfriend fucked up, how she doesn't want to see him anymore, etc.? I think she had an Italian-sounding name. Halp?

Sounds like it could be an Avril Lavigne song, but I couldn't tell you which one.

Well, this doesn't sound quite right, but maybe Jojo, "Get Out." 2004. No schoolbus, just a whole lot of high school.

OMG, I was totally going to suggest Jojo, Little Too Late, then didn't as it didn't contain a school bus.

Stacey Orrico was immediately the one I thought of, catchy tune. Sort of Tracey Bonham/Shakespear's Sister sound.
