Does glyphosate herbicide (Roundup ®) kill dormant bulbs, like freesias?

No, not if they're under the soil with no leaves poking up.

On the other hand, if there ARE leaves, glyphosate is particularly good at killing them.

Roundup works by applying it to foliage. No foliage, no kill.

My boyfriend works answering questions exactly like this for Round-Up. Send them an email next time.

Dig em up, maybe? Freesias aren't exactly invasive. What's left gets pulled up in your first few weedings of the next season.

Why does everyone always want to use chems for the simplest of tasks?
