Peaceful GIFs

I am looking for restful, calm, and peaceful GIFs -- like this or this.

Animations are fine, cats are good too.

Please link to anything you have.

Hed Like an Orange is a great tumblr that does one high-quality nature GIF per day. The mountains and fog from the other day is particularly nice.

Pusheen the cat bounces around a lot but I find her very comforting to watch.

Cinegraphs is also what I've mostly heard them called.

I like these ones:

snow
coffee
judo nap
bad bulb
distant lights (linked by dephlogisticated, but so nice it's worth linking twice)
caution (most of the ones in this series are great)

Like dephlogisticated pointed out, I believe you're looking generally for "cinemagraphs".

The first couple links are full of things that seem to match your description.
