Nearly half of Bertell Ollman's Alienation is available for free as web pages. I believe simple web-to-Kindle apps exist (Instapaper seems to do the right thing with it and has a way to sync to wifi Kindles for free). I don't recall which sections I found most compelling way back when, so I can't say you'd be getting the best half. But at the time, it struck me as one of the most interesting and readable Marxist theory texts that I read in grad school, out of probably twenty-five or thirty.
