I'm a grunge freak with a wide-open cable modem and a willingness to use any stream player.

So, where can I find a good stream? I've got my mp3 collection, but it's never as good as someone else's mix (30gb, and I feel as if I've heard it all a million times before). I once had a line on a good stream (content-wise), but it was at 28k, and I can no longer find it.

Anyone have any good suggestions? I'd prefer an internet-only stream with no commercials, but if there's a radio station out there that rebroadcasts, and is the kind of Seattle-sound for which I'm looking, that's just as good.

Seattle Sound circa 1992, or circa right now? For the latter, kexp.org, but that won't help with your grunge fix as the music scene is quite different here now.

Best answer: I"m quite happy with what Yahoo's Launchcast service is providing me. You tell it what you like (genres, or specific artists/albums/songs). It then plays you songs based off of that. It will play most often the songs you've rated, but it will also throw in songs that it feels that you will like based of how other people with similar tastes have rated music. You have the option to ban a song from playing again, and from skipping to the next song. The selection of music is pretty good but obviously not completely exhaustive.
