Name That Song

Identify this song please! I'm making a mixtape of songs with distinctive vocal flourishes and there's a snippet going through my head that I just can't place. This song's building to a crescendo and the singer yells "Whoo!" followed by three piano chords that sound almost like percussion (bum! bum! bum!) before continuing on.

It's a guitar band, most likely American, I think from the past 10 years. It has a kind of vaguely roots-rock/americana feel that wouldn't sound out of place on The King Is Dead by The Decemberists.

Song 2 by Blur?

Response by poster: No, much more recent, more American-sounding, and the vocal is one (extended) syllable followed by three instrumental beats.

Response by poster: Not it, but catchy! (Also, that falls more on the "whoa" than "whoo" end of the spectrum.)

Could it be Wolfmother - Dimension? The details aren't quite right, but it popped to mind immediately when I read your description. (sorry if it's already been suggested, I can't open that youtube link on my phone)

Might it be something by Okkervil River?

Any chance it's "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros? More of a whistle than a whoo though.

Response by poster: Oh god, this is so embarrassing. I've had my iPod on random all day trying to figure this out and I just got it. Turns out I was wrong on almost every detail (not American, not rock, not piano chords):

Robbie Williams - World's Most Handsome Man (at 3:28)

Thanks for your help, everyone!
