exporting favorites

I am uber-tarded computer-wise and I need to know if it's possible to export my favorites off my msn page. They are vast and I cannot loose them, I am moving to another state and will not be using msn again. Therefore, I will no longer have access to them. Any ideas, any help?

Do they all apear on a single web page? If so you can go to the File menu, then "Save As" and then save the page as an HTML file (something.htm).

(if you use IE, youc an also save as a mail archive, .mht which will include all the pictures, etc. You'll only be able to open that file in IE, but you can open it in IE and then save it again as an HTML file).

Try that and see if it works.

Best answer: Google It

What will you use after you stop using MSN? Will you need help importing them? Also, consider using A9 or Yahoo! to store your bookmarks. They are stored online, and you can get at them from any computer that's hooked up to the internet.

Depending on the form the saved page takes, you may also be able to import your bookmarks to del.icio.us using this tool.

This may be to simple--go to start>search>all files>type favorites>hit enter and out of the files select the file that will be represented by a yellow (gold) star labeled favorites --it should contain all your favorites--there may be more than one file represented by a yellow star--open it and make sure it is the one you want--then just save it on your computer and when you install your next ISP, and select the browser you will be using, you can drag your saved favorites to the respective favorites or bookmarks folder associated with that browser--Good Luck

Response by poster: clearlynuts, thanks! The Google link led me to Linkagogo, which is exactly what I needed. I will now be able to access them through Yahoo. It's still going to take me a few hours to transfer them all, but that is better than the several days it was going to take me.
