Any free-form whiteboarding desktop apps like Stixy.com?

Are there any decent Whiteboarding/Brainstorming/Sticky-Notes software apps out there? Like a digital cork-board?
I'm trying to get a simple desktop equivalent to Stixy.com. I really like the fact that you can type any size text notes (not just mini sticky notes), resize them, and move them around a gigantic whiteboard without contraints. Basically visually organize and reorder your notes.
Its great for brainstorming, but I am leery about leaving my large-scale text on a Beta web app. And more importantly, sometimes I like to take myself off the network and just write without distractions. This is where I am hoping a good whiteboarding/notes software might come in to play, when I cannot connect to a cloud-based app. Any ideas?
I've tried so far:
-Evernote
-Onenote
-Freemind
-Nevernote
-KeyNote NF
-Nevernote
-Serious Samurize
-Liquid Story Binder XE - has come the closest in terms of flexibility, and is simply an amazing app on its own, but it still is lacking the visual whiteboarding that I'm used to.

It's not specifically intended for this purpose, but you could pull something like this off with Scrivener. It imports anything, exports plain text, lets you organize, sort, and tag to your heart's content, and even has a blackout "just write" mode. There's a 30 day free trial so you can give it a shot-- I just purchased it last week after using the hell out of my trial. The one thing it may not have is the "resize your notes" feature.

Best answer: It sounds like this might be too limited for your needs, but the minute you said "digital cork-board" I immediately thought of ListThings. With it, you can type any size note you want, and can resize them. You can have multiple boards, edit text in a limited fashion (bold, italics, underline, strikethrough) and you can create a numbered list. You can also share. You can also change the colors, though not in the most sophisticated manner. FYI.

Curio wound up being too feature-rich for me, but it has a trial and it might suit.

What sort of OS are you using? Pretty sure Macs still come with Stickies, though I'm not at mine to look...
